Microsoft Word Document We consider the Traditional Franshising concept next, because it represents over 35% of our economy.  This suggests that when an employee has been misguided in finding true freedom, they venture out to start their "own" business.  Tired of living paycheck to paycheck, they are willing to do "anything" to change these circumstances.  With over 5,000 traditional franchises, such as McDonalds, Taco Bell, and Starbucks to name a few, these are the most likely types of businesses to begin.  However, let's look at the facts by utilizing the illustration to the right.  Take Harley Davidson Motorcycles for example... If you wanted to open your own shop, it would cost you approximately $2 million (cash) to have the rights to the logo and any advertising for your store.  This is before you consider bricks and mortar, and inventory.  In this illustration, let's assume the same profit is created by inserting $3800.  This time, you are the "risk taker" and can keep $3000.  The Public Franchisor would be given $800 as a royalty every month for the privilege of continuing to use the HD logo.  

Don't forget, that while the lifestyle of such a business owner may sound prestigous and glamorous, they are far from free.  True freedom is found by having two ingredients simultaneously... Time and Money.  What this business owner lacks is time and the ability to duplicate.  Let me explain... If you had a successful HD franchise and I came along to ask your advise and seek your counsel on opening a similar shop down the street, would you be likely to share your business secrets with me?  Your right, absolutely not!  So what you need to consider is that you would have NO TIME and NO DUPLICATION.

Paul Getty.  He was famous for many things, including this statement... "I would rather have 1% of 100 people's efforts than 100% of my own!"  Successful people understand and live by this theory.  Shouldn't you?

Secondly, let's consider the two negatives of traditional franchising (no time and no duplication), and the solution.  This time we are focusing on what is below the horizontal line.  Notice that we are able to help anyone start their own business on or off the internet.  Private Franchising allows anyone to experience all of the benefits not found by wherehouse shopping or other online services.  Let's say that you help Independent Business Owner "A" create $3800 in profit.  Just like yourself, they would keep $3000 without traditional overhead expenses, and you would keep $800 (paid by the contracting corporation).  In this scenario you have followed the advice of J.
